About the Author

Hey there!

So, I’ve never been much good at stuff like this–but I do love it when I find a good “about the author” page.

Some random things: I love books. And writing. (Yes, that wasn’t very random, but we’ve got to start somewhere. Bear with me, we’re just getting into this.) I love making films, spending time with family and friends, running, playing sports, or messing around on my guitar and piano :). But what defines my life, is being a born-again Christian and a sinner saved by grace.

Some of my favorite fiction writers, in no particular order, are:

  1. C.S Lewis
  2. J.R.R Tolkien
  3. Nadine Brandes
  4. Andrew Peterson
  5. John J. Horn
  6. C.R Hedgocock
  7. Douglas Bond
  8. Rosemary Sutcliff
  9. A.S Peterson
  10. And some very dear friends who have some amazing writing and stories.

Non-Fiction! Again, this is in no particular order:

  1. John Piper
  2. Paul Washer
  3. Jaquelle Crowe
  4. David and Jason Benham
  5. Alex and Brett Harris
  6. Sara Barret
  7. Nabeel Qureshi
  8. C.S Lewis (again)
  9. Douglas Bond (again)
  10. And maybe Warren W. Wiersbe…or J.C. Ryle…or R.C. Sproul… Oh, Charles Spurgeon! Okay, I have a lot.

Just a few great quotes

My Faith rests not in what I am, or shall be, or feel, or know, but in what Christ is, in what He has done and in what He is now doing for me.

Charles H. Spurgeon

“No half-heartedness and no worldly fear must turn us aside from following the light unflinchingly.”

J.R.R Tolkien, lord of the rings

Let your Christianity be so unmistakable, your eye so single, your heart so whole, your walk so straightforward that all who see you may have no doubt whose you are and Whom you serve.

J.C. Ryle

“I do not think that you can be changing the end of a song or a story like that, as though it were quite separate from the rest. I think the end of a story is part of it from the beginning.”

― Rosemary Sutcliff

Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.

Corrie Ten Boom

“I’m on Aslan’s side even if there isn’t any Aslan to lead it. I’m going to live as like a Narnian as I can even if there isn’t any Narnia.”

― C.S. Lewis, the silver chair

I’d love to hear from you, and if you’re looking for book recommendations, feel free to ask ;).
